Since leaving Nashville, Nate has appeared on CMT Comedy Stage, Montreal’s Just For Laughs Festival “New Faces” Showcase, Comedy Central’s Live At Gotham, and Conan (twice!).

On October 17th, Nate taped a coveted Comedy Central Presents.. special at The Gerald W. Lynch Theater in New York City and it premiers this Friday, February 4th @ 11:30 EST (that’s 10:30 Central). Here’s a video Nate shot to promote the show:

Nate Bargatze, Vandy fan


When Nate Bargatze was in town filming The ATypical Southern Comedy Quartet documentary at Jesse Zanes, he was introduced as having just been selected to tape a “Comedy Central Presents..” special for the 2011 season. Today, Comedy Central announced the dates and times for the tapings at The Gerald W. Lynch Theater in New York City.

Nate Bargatze & Hari Kondabolu’s specials will both be shot Sunday October 17, 2010, starting at 8:30 PM. Want tickets? They’re free.

April 22 - Tennessee Theatre - KnoxvilleRalphie was at Zanies in Nashville (or “Comedy City”, as our town is affectionately referred to by Nobody) earlier this month.. and if you saw any of those shows, you know how funny that guy is. If you didn’t get a chance to see Ralphie & friends then.. I’ve got news for you: Ralphie May is taping two different shows this weekend in Knoxville at the Tennessee Theatre for Comedy Central along with Lahna Turner and Nashville’s own Billy Wayne Davis.

This is huge.. I believe this is the first time Comedy Central has filmed two separate specials from one comedian in the same night. He’s not filming the same show in front of two audiences.. it’s totally different material. (That’s an impressive amount of funny ha-ha’s. I’ve been doing stand-up for over five and a half years, and I think I’ve written approximately two and a half jokes. Imagine cranking out TWO Comedy Central specials in one night!)
