Mat Alano-Martin comes to comedy from the world of rock and roll, where he spent 10 years touring North America as an Americana singer-songwriter, opening for a who’s who of indie rockers and roots revivalists and occasionally headlining his own smaller, less well attended shows. With a comedic style that bridges the alternative sensibilities of his indie-rock background with the more mainstream views of his rural and blue collar youth, Alano-Martin has appeared at comedy clubs, theaters, punk rock dives, redneck roadhouses, casinos, colleges, living rooms and everywhere in between.

Alano-Martin has appeared on the nationally syndicated The Bob & Tom Show, Laughs on Fox TV and at several festivals.

TONIGHT! Joe Pettis’ Underwear Comedy Party (comedians doing their act in their undies to a fully clothed audience) w/ Kite Hale, Mary Jay Berger, D.J. Buckley, Chad Riden & more.

Actually, Joe Pettis will NOT be doing the show tonight.. But it is still happening without him. Will the comics be in their underwear? Should we stick to the advertised theme? It’s Joe’s THING. Also, does anyone REALLY want to see Chad Riden do this?! We’ll let the audience tonight decide: underwear comedy party? Or fully clothed comedy party?

Underwear Comedy Party started as a monthly show in Atlanta. It’s overwhelming success encouraged Joe Pettis to take the show on the road. This Winter/Spring, he will be traveling to over 20 cities and inviting local comics to perform in their undies. Each show features guys and gals, so there’s a little something for everyone.

Joe Pettis is a level 14 Comedian Wizard from Atlanta, GA. He has been touring the country since 2008 in an attempt to gain enough relevance to warrant a Wikipedia page. Having spent many years studying English Literature at various state schools, he now spends his nights telling poop jokes to strangers. In 2010 he was voted “Best Local Comedian” by the readers of Creative Loafing Magazine. His request for a recount was denied. He has been seen on TBS’s “Today’s Riff” and has made multiple appearances on the podcast, “Doug Loves Movies” with Doug Benson.”
