If you think you’re funny, come sign up for the open mic portion of the show. We’re giving away $50 to the winner (as decided by the audience and/or host Chad Riden, America’s Favorite Comedian Of All Time) and the LOSERS each get a can of consolation Fresca. Zanies presents.. D. L. Hughley

One of the most popular and highly recognized standup comedians on the road today has also made quite an impression in the feature film and television arena, but it was ‘The Original Kings Of Comedy’ that launched D.L. into superstardom. D.L. recently premiered a one-hour comedy special for HBO entitled “Unapologetic.”

The Nashville’s Funniest Person open mike stand-up contest – at Spanky’s every Tuesday night. The work-shop atmosphere features local regulars, nationally touring acts trying out new material, and the occasional lunatic wacko.

Comics should be there by 8 to guarantee a spot. The signup sheet is closed as soon as the show starts (usually about 8:30).

Weekly winners receive a cash prize AND a can of delicious Fresca plus move onto the monthly showcase.
