Benefit for Radio Free Nashville @ SPiFFY SQUiRREL Comedy Show (The East Room) 1/4/2015

Indie Bohemians at Spiffy Squirrel at The East Room 1/4/2015

Indie Bohemians Comedy Show / Benefit for WRFN Radio Free Nashville. Featuring comics from the Indie Bohemians Morning Show: Ron Placone, Paulina Combow, Rob Haynes + guests.

Indie Bohemians Morning Show is a NEW Morning Show based on WRFN Pacifica-Affiliate Radio Free Nashville in Nashville, TN and can be found online on iTunes, Podomatic, and iHeartRadio. Proudly bearing the banner of “a Morning Show for people who hate Morning Shows” and/or “the thinking person’s Morning Show,” the Indie Bohemians straddle the solid middle ground between Howard Stern and NPR, punk rock and polish, pop culture and politics and everything in between, all kept together by two comedian Millennials trying to make sense of this crazy planet of ours. Fueled by caffeine and the hunch that there’s gotta be an option on the morning dial for “people that like the Smiths,” IBMS continues on their path armed with creative contributors, a solid tune selection, and the creative freedom radio used to have pre-Clear Channel.

Ron Placone is a comedian who tours the country relentlessly. He is a member of The Young Turks Network on YouTube and his satirical news segment, Thoughts, Rants & Cold Coffee is nationally-syndicated via the David Pakman Show. Aside from stand-up he tours college campuses speaking on issues of media policy and consolidation via his lecture/performance, Madness in the Message. After years of being a regular call-in air-talent for Quinn’s AM Army in Chambersburg, PA, Ron’s behind the mic now along with his co-host on the Indie Bohemians Morning Show.

Paulina Combow is a comedian, pug-enthusiast and pop-culture aficionado. With sass and Southern-charm, Combow co-produces the comedy-variety show, Comedy Pug Hugs at Mad Donna’s. She has studied at Second City in Chicago and is active in Nashville’s Film and Sketch Communities.

SPiFFY SQUiRREL is Nashville’s only truly independent, underground professional weekly alt comedy show. Featuring touring comedians from all corners of the earth, plus outstanding local regulars who are worth paying attention to. Sundays at 6:30pm at The East Room for just $5 cover. Produced and hosted by Nashville’s Chad Riden.

The NashvilleStandUp Showcase at Zanies Nashville 9/4/2014

The NashvilleStandUp.com Showcase at Zanies Nashville Sept. 4, 2014

Chad Riden with Andy Boyle (Chicago), Rob Haynes, Mark Anundson, Meredith Fitzsimons, Gary Fletcher, Josh Inocalla & Ben Sawyer. $10 at the door or $5 now at this special link: http://torch.ly/dMjibgpdDz

CHAD RIDEN’s comedy is about his chaotic reality. His last few years have featured bankruptcy, divorce, foreclosure and the best shows of his life. Riden tells self-incriminating stories of being a “recidivist vigilante instrument of karma” that embarrass his daughter and make everybody else shake their heads and laugh and/or contact the authorities.

ANDY BOYLE, a Chicago-area stand-up comedian, writer and web developer, has been delighting audiences across America with his jokes and giggly life stories for years. In 2013, Andy took his stand-up on the road throughout seven states, including a stop at Minnesota’s 10,000 Laughs Festival. In 2014 he was a runner-up in the Chicago satellite round of the Great American Comedy Festival and was selected for the 2014 Orlando Indie Comedy Festival. Andy’s writing has appeared in The St. Petersburg Times, The Boston Globe, The Chicago Tribune and other outlets that inspired Atari’s hit 1984 arcade game “Paperboy.” And once Andy made a website where he got drunk and raised almost $3,400 for a pet charity at drunkforpets.com. Andy’s mom says you won’t regret following him on Twitter at @andymboyle.
