Rodney Carrington, Owen Benjamin and our own Brad Hinderliter were asked to be part of a Bud Light commercial during the Wild West Comedy Festival in 2015. Brad was doing a bar show in a honkytonk as part of WWCF and they interrupted him, asking if he was “up for anything.” They handcuffed a briefcase to his wrist and told him he needed to bring it to Rodney Carrington. Then Hinderliter was dragged around town doing beer commercial type stuff: being in a parade, riding in a monster truck, etc. He then found out that he would be opening for Rodney Carrington at TPAC that night.

“It was a lot of fun,” says Brad, “and they wouldn’t let me drink beer.”

Rodney Carrington posted the clip on his Youtube channel, saying, “The commercial never aired… so we are airing it.” Here it is:

Wild West Comedy Festival 2015 – April 14-19 in Nashville

The second annual Wild West Comedy Festival, featuring some of the funniest comedians in the world and unique special events, will once again take place in the great city of Nashville on April 15 to 19, 2015. Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Productions is producing the festival in partnership with Nashville’s Outback Concerts and Zanies Nashville.

The historic Ryman Auditorium, the performance arts theaters at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center, the Exit/In, the Belcourt Theatre, City Winery, and Zanies Nashville will host the festival performances.

So far the A-list lineup includes: Lewis Black, Joel McHale, Hannibal Buress, Eric Andre, Tig Notaro, Nick Kroll, John Mulaney, truTV’s Impractical Jokers, Wits, “Jay & Silent Bob Get Old” w/ Kevin Smith & Jason Mewes, Jeanne Robertson, Doug Benson, Anjelah Johnson and Frank Caliendo.

Tickets and Platinum Passes go on sale Friday, December 19, 2014. VIP passes & Festival Passes go on sale January 2015.
