On the heels of the wildly-popular television debut of Adult Swim’s The Eric Andre Show, the alternative-variety show takes its DIY brand of late night entertainment and punk-rock comedy live on the road. Just like on TV, the spontaneous performances will include special guests, real and fake celebrity appearances, and plenty of spilled milk. No really, folks, you’re probably going to get messy, so leave those fancy duds at home. Fear not: for those looking to stay dry, Eric Andre ponchos (specially crafted to withstand the show’s elements) will be available for purchase at the merch table for $5.
The Geek Media Expo (“GMX”) is an annual exposition and social conference relating primarily to the popular arts, sciences, technology, engineering, mathematics, and relevant cultural/lifestyle themes, presented as an educational and multi-media entertainment showcase.
At the Geek Comedy Showcase you’ll hear material focusing on comic books, sci-fi, fantasy, horror, science and technology, action figure collecting, video games, cartoons, Dungeons & Dragons, cosplay, furries, etc. These are the bricks that make up the Castle Greyskull of humor which we know as the Geek Comedy Showcase. This 5pm show precedes the GMX Opening Ceremonies and features the comedy of: Michael Brown, Grant Schinto, Rob Haynes and Chad Riden.
The Wet Hot American Nerdity Comedy Show (WHANCS) is a hilarious celebration of obsession. A comedy show built by nerds for nerds. The GMX version of this show is at 1am Friday night / Saturday morning and features the comedy of: Michael Brown, Grant Schinto, Rob Haynes, Katrina Coleman and Chad Riden.
GMX tickets pre-sale has ENDED, but passes are available at the door. The event is currently listed on Zanies’ website as “The NashvilleStandUp Showcase” – but don’t worry, it’s us.

A night of comedy benefiting Nashville’s independent community radio station WRFN 107.1 Radio Free Nashville! After 8 years on the LPFM dial, RFN is gearing up to sign on to a second frequency, 103.7 FM, a translator that will reach ALL of Nashville. This will give the station the opportunity to be heard citywide, but funds need to be raised to acquire the necessary equipment.
Comedians Ron Placone (host of MediaBytes) and Jessica Carter (host of Friday Night Drama) are both programmers at Radio Free Nashville, and have organized this comedy benefit to help the cause. They’ve assembled a line-up of some of the finest comedians in Nashville including Christy Eidson, Chad Riden, Mary Jay Berger and Monty Mitchell. All proceeds raised from the event will go to Radio Free Nashville.
Come for a night of laughs and to support independent radio!
