CNN reports that Dave Chappelle is back.
Imagine this guy’s day to day life. He’s been doing standup since he was a teenager.. has had a dozen production deals in the last few years and one after another, they all fell apart for some reason or another and he finally gets the chance to do HIS show HIS was. It’s instantly a hit, because at this point in his career, his comedic voice is just Dave being Dave.. it’s totally natural and connects with people and is funnier than anything else anywhere. He finally gets the jackpot he deserves and what happens? Comedy Central (or whoever) starts nitpicking on what he wants to do on his show.. so he walks.

The Associated Press is reporting that a “Fan Claims Comedian Gallagher Hit Him“… but are we sure this was actually Gallagher? or was it Gallagher II? or is there another Gallagher out there we don’t know about yet? Thanks to Ryan Williams for the heads-up on the link over in the forum.
Conan O’Brien on “The Future of Television”
Newsweek calls Conan “The king of late night” in the intro to a funny article he wrote for them called “The Future of Television”. Thanks to Jesse Perry of MangyDog.com for the heads up on the link.
The Funniest Person In Nashville This Week
Keith Alberstadt in the Tennessean
Today’s Tennessean reports:
A laughing matter: The comedy career of Keith Alberstadt, a former member of Vanderbilt’s Radio Network team, continues to blossom. The Father Ryan High School and Vandy grad was a recent finalist for NBC’s Last Comic Standing competition, has had his material played on XM Satellite Radio, and is featured in the spring issue of Vanderbilt Magazine.
Alberstadt is touring the country doing standup. He told the magazine that his mother, who would rather he be closer to home and starting a family, ”keeps sending me newspaper clips about my high school friends who are getting married. So I send her nursing home brochures.”
