DailyComedy.com launches

DailyComedy.com is a new stand-up comedy website that just officially launched Monday. It features 30-90 second videos and very short, topical blog entries from various professional comics.

“Stand-up comedy is great, but it’s meant for a small, closed environment,” said Charles Warner, CEO and founder of the site, adding that the quality of intimacy found in a comedy club is lost over the Internet. “We’re trying to build a comedy community.”
Rather than just offering video of comedians doing their acts in front of an audience, the site aims to let A-list comics share their original content created specifically for the Internet. Warner said that although they feature comedians who frequently appear on Letterman and Comedy Central, the site hopes to attract new talent as well.
