EW has a new article about Mitch: “Comic Tragedy The rise and fall of comedy’s Kurt Cobain” — The rock & roll life and sudden death of Mitch Hedberg, an underappreciated stand-up genius by Daniel Fierman.
It’s a good write-up.. and Mitch’s passing IS a tragedy.. and we all miss him and wish he was still here.. but do we have to compare him to Kurt Cobain? Can’t his career and life and accomplishments and comedy speak for itself and stand on it’s own feet? I think so. To me, Mitch Hedberg wasn’t “comedy’s Kurt Cobain,” so much as he was “the one and only Mitch Hedberg.”
Check out the article, though.
