On the heels of the wildly-popular television debut of Adult Swim’s The Eric Andre Show, the alternative-variety show takes its DIY brand of late night entertainment and punk-rock comedy live on the road. Just like on TV, the spontaneous performances will include special guests, real and fake celebrity appearances, and plenty of spilled milk. No really, folks, you’re probably going to get messy, so leave those fancy duds at home. Fear not: for those looking to stay dry, Eric Andre ponchos (specially crafted to withstand the show’s elements) will be available for purchase at the merch table for $5.
Ahem.. “HEY! Hey, YOU! HEY, DUMB DUMB! YES, YOU! Why are you such a dummy? Why don’t know know about Tim and Eric? Is it because you’re so dumb? Have you been busy watching your VHS tapes of classic Hee Haw skitches over and over laughing at the cutting edge humor? Huh? Have you, dumb person? Is that what comedy is to you? Is Larry the Cable Guy ‘too smart?’ HA HA! Get a clue, dumb person who has never heard of Tim and Eric! You.. you fool!”
Sorry. Seriously, if you like silly things and incredibly awkward comedy, check out the dvd’s (or watch the videos online) of Tim and Eric’s old Adult Swim show and get caught up. If you like that, you’ll probably love “Tim and Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie” (Dir. Tim Heidecker & Eric Wareheim, 2012, USA, R, 94min, 35mm). If you DON’T like uncomfortable situations, prolonged silences, miscues, misfires, misfits and of course shrimp and white wine.. this isn’t for you.
The premise is: cult comedy heroes Tim and Eric are given a billion dollars to make a movie, but squander every dime.. and the sinister head of its financier the Schlaaang corporation (Robert Loggia) is pissed! No longer able to pay their life coach (Zach Galifianakis) for advice, they happen upon a chance to rehabilitate a bankrupt mall full of vagrants, bizarre stores and a man-eating wolf that stalks the food court. Tim and Eric see dollar signs—a billion of them. Co-starring John C. Reilly and Will Ferrell and featuring cameos from Awesome Show regulars and many more. Also, some “shrim.”

Legend has it that Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim mailed Bob Odenkirk an unsolicited demo dvd of their videos packed with an invoice, charging him for the package as an attempt to get his attention. The ploy worked, and it wasn’t long before Odenkirk helped the duo produce “Tom Goes to the Mayor” (a very odd, hilarious cartoon) for Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim. Tom ran from roughly 2004 to 2006, when TIm & Eric began working on their new show “Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!” – a very odd, hilarious sketch comedy show that has featured guest appearances from John C. Reilly, Neil Hamburger, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Maria Bamford, Patton Oswalt and many more wonderful people. The show uses cheesy editing and crappy effects to link together surrealistic, satirical anti-humor with public access-style music acts, fake commercials and poop joke weirdness to make what they refer to as “the nightmare version of television.”
Tim and Eric have taken the show on the road for their second multi-city tour leading up to the airing of their one hour special on December 5th 2010, called “Tim and Eric’s Chrimbus Special.”
The live show line-up includes Tim & Eric’s band, Pusswhip Banggang:
