Pete Holmes w/ Corporate Juggernaut @ The High Watt (11/16)

The High Watt is pleased to announce another installment of its ongoing comedy series with Corporate Juggernaut, this time featuring LA-based comic Pete Holmes! He will perform two shows on Friday, November 16th; the early show will start at 7:00pm, with doors opening at 6:00pm, and the late show will begin at 9:30pm, with doors opening at 9:00pm. Seating is limited and will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tickets to this 18+ event are $15, and are available online via the link below. Physical tic
kets are also available in person at Grimey’s New and Preloved Music, The Groove Record Shop, and Parlour & Juke Salon.

Pete’s standup has been featured on Conan, Comedy Central, and VH1’s Best Week Ever, and his weekly podcast (“You Made It Weird”) on Nerdist is critically acclaimed. Pete has written for and voices multiple characters on Comedy Central’s “Ugly Americans” and is the voice and writer of the popular “E*Trade Baby” commercials. Both shows are expected to sell-out, so advance tickets are highly recommended.

Corporate Juggernaut – Pictures of Fireworks 12/5 @ Fido

Announcing…another Corporate Juggernaut production…Pictures of Fireworks!

Pictures of Fireworks is a monthly night of storytelling that showcases a combination of Nashville’s best comedians and authors, its most interesting residents and characters, and you. Half of the tales are told by performers or locals who are curated in advance; the other half come from audience members, who can drop their names in a hat at the start of the show.

Pictures of Fireworks is dedicated to finding the funniest, most
compelling, touching, and outrageous tales in Nashville. All that’s required from each teller is honesty. Share your darkest secrets. Express the momentous or mundane. Your tales only need to be true, and to have a beginning, middle, and end. (Booked tellers get 8 minutes; audience members have 4. No scripts allowed, you fraidy cat.)

Each show will be hosted by Jane Borden: journalist, comedian, author of “I Totally Meant to Do That” (a humorous memoir praised by Amy Poehler, Ed Helms, Vanity Fair, and New York Magazine), and proud member of Corporate Juggernaut, just named “Best Comedy Collective” by the Nashville Scene.

The first Pictures of Fireworks happens Wednesday December 5th, at 8pm, at Fido (1812 21st Avenue South). Lineup to be announced (soon!).

Kyle has appeared on Last Call with Carson Daly, The Very Funny Show on TBS, Live at Gotham, Comedy Central Presents and The World Stands Up on the BBC, and he was called “bleak and misanthropic” by the London Evening Standard. “Action Figure Therapy”s Jarrod Harris & Corporate Juggernaut 8/20

We are very pleased to announce that comedian Jarrod Harris will perform at The High Watt on August 20th. The YouTube channel for Action Figure Therapy, in which Jarrod voices the popular “Jungle” character, has over 20 million views and was recently named LA Weekly’s “Top Comic To Watch in 2012″. His stand-up has been featured on TBS’ Lopez Tonight and Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham.

“Jarrod Harris‘ act is an oddly comfortable mix of trailer-park filth, comic angst and hipster irony. While his style may fit into several categories along the comedy spectrum, his clever writing only fits into one: funny.” – Creative Loafing.
