The Heroes of Hillarity show will be taking up donations to go the Brian E. Kiley Memorial Fund. Brian E. Kiley (one of the founders of the show) was a great Nashville-based comedian who passed away on February 17th, 2013 in a car accident. All proceeds will go to his family.
Viet Huynh (pronounced like “hwin”) was born and raised in Goose Creek, SC and began his stand-up comedy career in Atlanta, GA. Moving forward, Viet has used that initial positive buzz to quickly become a favorite at many comedy clubs and venues across the nation.
Viet Huynh has put together shows such The Affirmative Action Comedy Showcase, The Heroes of Hilarity, and An Intimate Evening of Comedy and Rap Music. Viet balances his structural engineering career with a rigorous schedule of multiple performances each week at various comedy clubs and venues. By doing so he has created a new profession by the name of “Comedic Engineering”; the design and delivery of jokes and punchlines. Viet has shared the stage with many well known comedians and has won a few comedy competitions along the way.
Viet derives a lot of his humor from his life of being an Asian-American growing up in the South, observational and nerd humor, and relationship issues.
Mia Jackson, a native of Columbus, Georgia and a self proclaimed know it all, wondered what would happen if she took her sense of humor to the stage. That’s exactly what she did! After graduating from the University of Georgia she hit the local comedy scene and has thrilled audiences since day one.
To her credit she has appeared on Oxygen’s Girls Behaving Badly and TLC’s Wild Weddings. She was also a writer on BET/Centric’s re-launch of the Soul Train Awards in 2009 and 2010. In 2012, Mia was a finalist in the Laughing Skull Festival. She recently taped a spot on NickMom’s Night Out and opened for Dave Chapelle.
Mia is a diverse comedienne with a different voice and perspective. Her energetic conversational style leaves the audience feeling refreshed and as if they have known her forever. Smart, funny, and versatile, Mia entertains all types of crowds.

The Most RACES Show on Earth! Comes to Nashville, TN for One Night Only!
Friday, Oct.5, 2012 – Tickets on Sale Now!
Racial stereotypes, ethnic clichés and culture differences
will be at the forefront on October 5 as the Bongo After Hours Theatre hosts one of North
America’s most entertaining multicultural comedic showcases, The Most RACES Show on
Earth! (MRSOE!).
MRSOE! is a stand-up comedy show that examines racial and ethnic differences through the
lens of laughter. After selling out numerous venues in Canada and the United States since 2005,
MRSOE! is embarking on its first tour across the southeastern U.S. The show in Nashville is one
of 16 stops.
“The Most RACES Show on Earth! helps us to better understand one another. The barriers
between cultures cannot be easily dissolved; sometimes it’s actually the shock value of a lot of
the jokes that inspires people to start thinking. The more we realize our differences, the more we
are the same because we all laugh at the same things,” says Neil Bansil, creator and producer of
MRSOE!.
This show features a rotating cast of seven funny and edgy comedians from various ethnicities
including: Noah Gardenswartz (Jewish-American – 2012 Bay Area Comedy Competition Semi-
finalist); Mia Jackson (African-American – Writer for 2011 BET Soul Train Awards); Viet Huynh
(Vietnamese-American – 2009 Southeastern Funny People Search Winner); Daniel Tirado
(Polish-Peruvian – Montreal’s Just for Laughs), Rob Haze (African-American – Laughing Skull
Lounge); Trixx (Ghanaian-Canadian – NY Comedy Festival); and Neil Bansil (Filipino-Canadian-
American – Creator MRSOE!).
The Most RACES Show on Earth! takes place on Friday, October 5, at 8:30 p.m., at the Bongo
After Hours Theatre. Tickets are $10 and are available at the door. A portion of the proceeds
from each show will go towards the YWCA Stand Against Racism initiative. For tickets, visit www.mrsoe.com or visit the Bongo After Hours Theatre at 2007 Belmont Ave.
The NashvilleStandUp.comShowcase @ Zanies Comedy Showplace is a showcase of the funniest comedians based in the Nashville area, plus guest sets from traveling comics, and Chad Riden’s IRON COMIC comedy competition with jokes written on the spot based on audience suggestions.
