Matt Ruby is a standup comedian and the creator of Vooza, a video comic strip about the tech world (aka “The Spinal Tap of startups”). He has been featured on MTV, CNN.com, The Huffington Post, NY Magazine, Time Out NY (“Joke of the Year” nominee), ComedySmack (Winner of Best Web Short of the Year), Gawker, and lots of other places.

Ruby has also appeared across the country at comedy venues and festivals (including SXSW, Bridgetown, NY Comedy Contest, SF Comedy Contest, Boston Comedy Festival, and the New Orleans Comedy and Arts Festival).

He co-produces Hot Soup, a standup show in NYC. And once a month, Mark Normand and Matt cohost We’re All Friends Here, “the comedy chat show with boundary issues” that’s also a podcast (listen).

Sandpaper Suit is the name of his comedy blog. It was nominated for Best Comedy Website by The ECNY awards.

Writer and comedian Sofiya Alexandra grew up in Odessa, Ukraine, and moved to Los Angeles at the age of 11. She performs standup at venues all over LA, including The Comedy Store, UCB, The Improv, and throughout the alt comedy scene. Last year she participated as a writer in the CBS Diversity Showcase, and currently she’s writing on Amazon’s new series Danger & Eggs. In 2016 she’s performing at Limestone, Laughing Skull, Bird City and Crom Comedy Festivals. She was named one of The Fifty Funniest Women on Twitter by Playboy and one of 18 Funny Women You Should Be Following on Twitter by Huffington Post. Her tweets regularly appear on Mandatory, Buzzfeed, Splitsider, Smosh, and HuffPo. She also produces a hit mystery-lineup show called SURPRISE!, which has been featured in LAist, LA Weekly, The Los Angeles Review of Books, OneThingLA, and WeLikeLA.

Mo Arora began his comedy career in Montreal, Canada, and is now based in Atlanta. As an Indian-Canadian and now a Canadian in America, Mo’s comedy often comes from a unique, outsider perspective. An expert writer, Mo articulates the bizarre ways people act when dealing with race, relationships, or getting a drink at the bar. He is also the host of the award-winning podcast, Laughmatic.

Jesse Case is a comedian from Nashville. Jesse was one of the “New Faces” at the Just For Laughs festival in Montreal in 2010, he won the 2008 Rocky Mountain Laugh Off and was featured on Last Comic Standing in 2008. After moving from Nashville to Seattle for a while, he landed in Los Angeles. In 2015, he was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer and moved home to Nashville to receive treatment. His podcast, Jesse vs. Cancer has been featured as a top pick in the iTunes store and has been praised by many as hilarious, heart-felt and inspirational.

Ambrose Jones has already established himself as one of the hottest comedians in the south. Born and raised in Chicago, IL, Ambrose’s career began in Memphis, TN where he quickly made a name for himself and performed with some of the top comedians in the business. He is a quick witted, clever comedian who captures audience’s attention with his surprising twists on life experiences and rapid punch lines. In 2015 Ambrose showcased his talent on NBC for Last Comic Standing. Kennan Ivory Wayans said he is like a breath of fresh air and reminds him of a country Chris Rock. Valerie Tosi is a loud redhead originally hailing from Boston, MA. Her brain puts forth a mix of observational and self deprecating humor, and was recently told by an audience member “You look Iike someone I could cry with.” She has performed at the Sacramento Comedy Festival, Ventura Comedy Festival, and last year was a finalist in the first Los Angeles Funny Women Festival. Currently she is producing & hosting the monthly all female shows The Mermaid Comedy Hour and Volumizing Comedy. She has also performed at The World Famous Comedy Store, Flappers Comedy Club, The Ice House, The Moth, and on The Comics of Twitter Tour. Valerie is an alumni of both The Second City and iO West, has starred in several Buzzfeed videos, and is a co-host on the variety show style podcast “Rock N Roll Cheeseburger”. You can also find her contributing as a blogger to the popular site Dirty & Thirty.

A former cubicle jockey and high school coach, Katherine Jessup now co-hosts a podcast (Advice! with Dave & Kat) and is a regular at comedy clubs in the Mid Atlantic. She’s headlined at the inaugural Charm City Comedy Festival and performed at Capital Fringe, the Bentzen Ball, and the She-Devil Comedy Festival. She brings a unique point of view to the absurdities of daily life, and can be found most nights trying to make strangers laugh.

Hannah Hogan is a stand up, actor and TV writer based in Toronto. She has performed at Just For Laughs 42, The She Dot Festival, The Border City Comedy Festival, The Dark Comedy Festival and NXNE Festival. She was the star of the comedy series ‘That’s So Weird’ and won a Canadian Comedy Award for Best Ensemble Cast in a Television Show. Hannah also starred in and wrote for another Canadian TV show, ‘Meet The Family’ for which she was nominated for a Canadian Comedy Award for Best Writing in a Television Series. Hannah has been a stand up for 5 years and has worked at Yuk Yuks, Absolute Comedy, The Comedy Bar and The Corner Comedy Club- all major comedy clubs in Canada. She has also spent a significant amount of time in the USA, and has performed at such clubs The Improv, The Comedy Store and The Laugh Factory in LA.
