Chris Crofton at The East Room 3/27/2017

Chris Crofton started performing comedy after he graduated from
college in 1991. He moved to New York City from Connecticut and
appeared at open mics around the city: Stand Up NY, The West End,
Rose’s Turn, New York Comedy Club, The Village Gate, and Gladys’s
Comedy Room at Hamburger Harry’s. Crofton was also writing songs at
this time. Following the release of his critically acclaimed first
album, The Alcohol Stuntman, on Stylus Records, he moved to Nashville
to pursue music. From 2001 up to the present, he has performed and
recorded with Chris Crofton The Alcohol Stuntband. Known as much for
Crofton’s between-song comments as the music, The Alcohol Stuntband
has played with The Black Keys, Rocket From the Tombs, Richard Lloyd,
Lucero, Danko Jones, The Paybacks and many, many, more. From 2005 to
2009 Crofton hosted the now-legendary “Best of Bread” radio show on
Nashville’s WRVU, a weekly program in which he and his brother Greg
mixed topical and absurd commentary with 70s soft-rock classics.
Crofton is also an award-winning actor who has appeared in numerous
independent films.

In 2006, a local comedian asked Crofton to try standup again for fun.
After performing for 10 years with The Alcohol Stuntband, Crofton had
developed a remarkable ease onstage, and his topical palette had
expanded dramatically. These qualities combined with Crofton’s unique
perspective to create a comedy monster. His style mixes the social
commentary of Richard Pryor and Bill Hicks, the absurdity of Steve
Martin, and the pacing and stage presence of Lenny Bruce. In 2007,
Crofton was invited to open for Neil Hamburger in Nashville. Hamburger
was impressed with his set and arranged for him to open a show for Bob
Odenkirk and Louis CK at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in Los
Angeles. In 2009, after seeing his standup, Harmony Korine cast
Crofton in his film Trash Humpers and brought him to select cities
to perform comedy prior to screenings. Later in 2009, after WRVU s
lamented demise, Crofton adapted the Best of Bread broadcast into
the popular weekly podcast “The Chris Crofton Show.”

In May 2012, Chicken Ranch Records released Crofton’s debut comedy
album, “Pearls Before Swine: Live at The Springwater, which,
according to Nashville Scene editor Jim Ridley, captures [Crofton s]
nervy, abrasive act on crackling vinyl before an audience that s by
turns incensed, indifferent and doubled over in hysterics.”

Folk Humorist Mary Mack performs her sometimes-musical comedy at festivals, colleges, clubs, casinos and anywhere you can find a llama or a buffet line. She has acted in cartoons, weird student films, and commercials that urge you to buy food for your hamster. (Mary is totally FOR feeding your hamster.) A favorite on radio shows and podcasts around the country, including Marc Maron’s WTF Podcast, The Bob and Tom Show, and American Public Media’s WITS, Mary played the leading character Dylan on Fox’s new late night cartoon Golan the Insatiable, season one. Her voice has also been heard in the cult favorite Aqua Teen Hunger Force on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim. Mack’s comedy (spotted with occasional mandolin or clarinet outbursts) has been seen in the Vancouver Comedy Fest, The Andy Kaufman Awards, Montreal’s Just For Laughs Festival, and the San Francisco Sketch Fest as one of “The Dozen” up and coming headliners designated by the festival. She had her national TV debut on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham and NBC’s Last Comic Standing.

Charismatic, relatable and honest to a fault, Cam O’Connor is one of the hardest working young comedians in the Midwest. In a relatively short period of time, he has opened for Kyle Kinane, Stewart Huff and Doug Stanhope, and was the touring opener for Ryan Singer and Jarrod Harris on their “Organic Comedy Tour.” The twelve-state “Organic” tour, which celebrated underground comedy scenes across the country, was filmed for a documentary that is scheduled to be released in 2014. Cam was recently a finalist in both the 2012 Funniest Person in Cincinnati competition and the Bob & Tom All-Star Contest. A native of Indianapolis, IN, Cam is the creator of Rocketship Comedy, a series of stand-up showcases that are quickly becoming a preferred destination for many of the most respected names in comedy.

Mark Anundson is one of the all time greats. Link in bio.

Patrick Devine is from virginia beach va
Musician and funny man
Likes to have fun
Likes a good cry
Started standup thanksgiving 2014
CoLlege degree
Reads good
Speaks good
Good listener
Biggest weakness: physical strength
Greatest strength:

Mary Jay Berger is an awful person (her mom says she’s sassy). She hates sharing and loves telling people that she’s a doctor. Mary is not a doctor, but she does know more about Harry Potter than Neil deGrasse Tyson knows about anything. Mary’s credits include: the Mary Watches Movies web series and being kicked out of a Titanic museum. She produces the monthly ‘Flying With Jaybird’ stand-up comedy show and tours regularly. See the reason Mary Jay Berger’s mom cries every day.

Ben Teichmiller is dry like a nice champagne, dark like a pinot noir, but about as refined as a combo number 7 from Taco Bell. His topics range from the melancholy to the absurd, and he uses both one liners and storytelling to cover it all; but mainly sex and suicide.

Matthew Tate is a comic, host, and producer based out of Huntsville, AL. You might know him from his appearances in No’Ala Magazine, TGIM Comedy, and the liquor store. Since 2012, Tate has been spreading his brand of vitriolic bitterness wherever the opportunity presents itself. His debut album “I Drink, Therefore I Am” is available now via CD, and digitally in December.”
