Three Nice Boys Comedy Tour

Acclaimed Los Angeles & Chicago-based comedians Joe McAdam, C.J. Toledano, and Charlie Bury are three nice boys. They’re also stand up comedians that have written for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, created award-winning comedy pilots, and appeared at festivals like Just for Laughs Chicago. This trio of goofs have joined forces for a two week tour of the Southeast, entitled the Three Nice Boys Comedy Tour.

Throughout early May, the Three Nice Boys will travel from Missouri, through Kentucky, Tennessee to New Orleans and back, bringing a triple-decker lineup of endearingly off kilter stand up comedy from three of the country’s most exciting (and friendly) stand up comedy boys.

Joe McAdam began his comedy career in Chicago in 2007 and developed a unique voice in the city’s thriving stand up scene. His act of tightly constructed yet absurd jokes, mixed with improvisation landed him at multiple festivals including Just For Laughs Chicago, The Chicago Comedy Expo and Crom Comedy Festival. McAdam has since moved to Los Angeles where he produces a monthly variety show at Nerdmelt called The Wheel Show. He has also made an impression online with remote video pieces at Gathering of the Juggalos, The Exxxotica Expo, comic book conventions, and concerts. Most recently he has cowritten and acted in the sitcom pilot “Cowards” that received the “Best Comedy” prize at the 2014 New York Television Festival. Hire him quickly as he is balding.

C.J. Toledano is a standup comedian and writer who has been a staff writer for “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” (nominated for a Writers Guild Award), “The Onion News Network,” and the script intern at TBS’s “Conan.” Most recently, he served as the head writer for MNet America’s flagship show, “Danny From LA” and writes for IFC’s social media accounts, which includes the official Twitter account for Will Ferrell’s character “Eric Jonrosh” on “The Spoils of Babylon.” His other television work includes being an onair correspondent for E!’s The Soup spinoff show “The Soup Investigates,” which was also hosted by Joel McHale. In 2013, he was also named a finalist of Just For Laughs Montreal’s “Set To Screen TV Pitch Contest.”

In addition to his television work, he has toured as a standup comedian, regularly opening for the likes of Bo Burnham, Joel McHale, and as part of the midwest leg of Todd Barry’s “Crowd Work Tour.” In 2013, he was named a New Face at Just For Laughs Chicago, and has performed at The Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Crom Fest, and The Riptide Comedy Festival. Currently, he can be seen touring clubs and colleges (NACA West 2013 participant) all over the country.

Originally from Chicago, C.J. is a proud alum of The Second City Conservatory and was a cast member of the longest running independent showcase, The Lincoln Lodge.

Having said all that, I, C.J. Toledano, wrote this myself and I suck.

Charlie Bury is a Chicago based comedian with a flair for the spectacular. Unapologetically silly, Charlie seamlessly blends magical elements into his act to create an atmosphere of illusion and enchantment, often leaving audiences spellbound. As a two year cast member at The Lincoln Lodge, Charlie opened for national headliners & participated in the 2013 Just For Laughs festival (Chicago). In addition to performing around the city at venues like Zanies and Second City’s Up Comedy Club, Charlie served as a writer for the Late Live show, a late night style talk show that has since relocated to Los Angeles.

Nashville StandUp’s “Broken Record Comedy Show” Shatters Previous GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS Title

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Apr. 23, 2015 — Nashville StandUp’s “Broken Record Comedy Show” ended its 184 hour, 16 minute run at 4:20am April 20, 2015, setting the new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for: “LONGEST STAND-UP COMEDY SHOW – MULTIPLE COMEDIANS.”

Labeled as, “The Greatest Dumbest Thing We’ve Ever Done!” The show ran non-stop at The East Room in Nashville, Tennessee, beginning Sunday, April 12, 2015 at 12:04pm with DJ Buckley and ending Monday April 20 at 4:20am with Chad Riden.

The previous 80-hour record had been held by the Laugh Factory in Hollywood, CA, for a show which ran from 6 to 9 December 2010. That show included 170 different acts by 150 comedians.

The 80-hour mark was surpassed on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 8:04pm while DJ Buckley was performing. Official GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ adjudicator Michael Empric was on site to announce the new record saying, “I’m so excited to announce that with 80 hours and two minutes, you guys have set a new Guinness World Record!” The standing room only crowd at The East Room erupted into cheers, carrying co-host D.J. Buckley on their shoulders with the framed certificate from GUINNESS raised high above his head.

As the crowd settled down, co-host Chad Riden performed a set, saying he did not want the show to ever end. “If we never stop, nobody can ever beat us unless they already started before we did or we die first.” The show continued through the entire duration of Nashville’s Wild West Comedy Festival, which was conducive to celebrity drop-in sets from Hannibal Buress, Rory Scovel, Al Jackson, Eric Andre, Nate Bargatze, Keith Alberstadt, Ahmed Ahmed, Killer Beaz and Jon Reep.

The show finally began wrapping up Sunday night April 19th as the regularly scheduled weekly SPiFFY SQUiRREL Comedy Show presented the “Bestival of the Festival” showcase featuring stand-out performances from crowd favorites Mary Jay Berger, Brad Edwards, Carter Glascock, Monty Mitchell, Jonathan Craig, Brett Cantrell, Narado Moore, Joe Kelley and Jim Seward.

After an amazing set where Narado Moore improvised unflattering impressions of lackluster out of town guest comics, the marathon show came to an end early Monday morning, April 20th with show producers DJ Buckley and Chad Riden doing their final sets. “I want to do this again next year,” said Riden. “I think we have to. I want to break our own record by five minutes just to show that we know how silly and pointless this all is.” As the official clock neared 4:20 a.m., Riden thanked show co-producers Mary Jay Berger, Ben Jones and DJ Buckley, along with Zanies Comedy Clubs’ Brian Dorfman, comedian Nate Bargatze, the Wild West Comedy Festival, Outback Concerts, the dozens of volunteers who staffed the event, the comics who performed and everybody who was in attendance to a standing ovation before hopping off stage.

Nashville StandUp is a 509(a)(2) Public Charity with a mission to cultivate and promote middle Tennessee’s growing stand up comedy scene by supporting the Nashville-based comedians that help make the Music City a great place to see live comedy.
