Bernee is the inaugural offering from F3Films Extra Ordinary Film Project – 12 feature films completed and premiered in 12 months. It was staged and shot in Hendersonville, TN at the Blue Goose Cafe, one of the landmarks in Middle Tennessee. The city of Hendersonville also graciously provided firemen, policemen, and other locations. Over 100 Sumner County and Davidson County residents came out to co-star in the film, along with nationally acclaimed stand-up comic Heather Horton, appearing as the title character Bernee.
“This movie is about an ordinary person getting in and out of some bizarre but real life situations, just like all of us, ordinary people thrust into extra ordinary circumstances. What could be funnier?” says Bernee Director Jon Russell Cring.
NashvilleStandUp talked to Heather about the movie and stuff:

is this your first film?
It’s not my first film but it’s the first major role I’ve had in a feature film.
what was the audition like?
I had to audition twice; the first time with the director and the DP and the second time on camera with some of the other cast members.
what was your experience like on set/ location?
It was crazy and fun at the same time. I now know what canned hash looks like and i’ve seen behind the scenes of the Blue Goose Cafe. We’ll just say the food is surprisingly good. I always love being on a set though; the whole process intrigues me.
how long did you shoot?
We shot a full feature in 2 weeks straight, sometimes for 21-22 hour days. I averaged 3 to 4 hours sleep a night. I think it took me 2 to 3 days to recover after that shoot. I like sleep. Sleep is good.
what do you have coming up next?
I have the lead in another independent feature film! It’s called Desperate in Dixie and we start shooting January 7th and look to wrap sometime in March.
do you have any stand-up dates coming up?
Zanies January 17th.
